Coming to iPhone and Apple Watch in November

Write one sentence about your day.
Hexel shows you where your effort went.

Type or say what you did. Every 15 minutes of real effort becomes a hexel, a small hexagon in your goal’s colour, so you can see what you did and how long it took.

One email when Hexel is on the App Store. Nothing else.
You can also use Hexel in your browser today at app.hexel.day.

Try itNothing you type leaves this page

Zerohexels.

This box runs the same rules as the app, with six sample goals: Guitar, Reading, Running, Spanish, Client work and Take meds.

The only rule

Fifteen minutes of real effort is one hexel.

15 minutes = 1 hexel

Guitar, study, deep work, prayer. Time is the shared unit, so every goal can sit side by side.

What you did, in your colour

“45 minutes of scales” becomes three blue guitar hexels. Pages, kilometres and “took my meds” count too.

A day = a comb

Hexels fill from the centre out, in the order you did things. A fuller day makes a bigger comb.

How it works

You log your day by writing one sentence about it.

Hexel’s day view: fourteen hexels today, with the day’s plan and what was logged.
01 · DaySay it or type it

On your iPhone, your Apple Watch or the web. English, Spanish, Tagalog, Taglish and Cebuano all work, even mixed in one sentence.

Hexel’s week view: a stack of hexels for each day and one line about how the week went.
02 · WeekSee how the week went

Seven stacks, one plain line about the week, and how each goal is moving. On Sundays you get a short, honest review.

Hexel’s year view: 2,671 hexels so far, with a comb for each month.
03 · YearLook back at any day

Zoom out to the month and the year. Every hexel you have ever logged stays there for you, free.

For every kind of goal

It works for whatever kind of goal you have.

You decide what counts. Hours, pages, kilometres or simply “did it”: Hexel turns every kind of effort into the same small unit.

Time15 min = 1 hexel

“Two hours on the thesis.”

Amounta usual session = 2

“Ran 5 km.” “Read 30 pages.”

Yes / nodone = 1 hexel

“Took my meds.” “Called mum.”

Less ofeach day held = 1

“No cigarettes today.”

Buddies

Share a goal with one person you trust.

Invite a friend, a partner or a study mate with a link. You pick which goals they see. They see your hexels and how your week is going, and they can send you a cheer.

  • Your words stay with you. Your buddy sees hexels, not what you wrote, unless you turn words on for a goal.
  • Nobody is ranked. There are no leaderboards and no “you’re behind” messages.
  • Private spaces can’t be shared. You can stop sharing, leave, block or report at any time.

How Hexel treats you

Missing a day doesn’t cost you anything, and your words stay yours.

Missing a day breaks nothing

There are no streaks to lose, and nothing turns red when you skip a day. A slower week just shows fewer hexels.

Understood on your device

Hexel reads your sentence with clear rules, not AI. Private spaces never appear in widgets, notifications or anything you share.

Feelings only if you mention them

Write “felt proud” and Hexel keeps it. It never asks how you feel or scores your mood.

Pricing

Hexel is free to use, including all of your history.

Logging, every goal, every view from a day to a year, the weekly review, sync, widgets, Apple Watch and one buddy cost nothing. Hexel Plus is for people who want to make it look their own.

Questions

Questions people ask before signing up.

What is a hexel?

A small hexagon worth 15 minutes of real effort. Amount goals, like pages or kilometres, and yes/no goals turn into hexels too, so everything you do is measured the same way.

When can I get the iPhone app?

A small group is testing it now, and it comes to the App Store in November. Leave your email and we’ll send one message when it’s there. The web version already works at app.hexel.day.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet. The web version works in Chrome on Android, and you can add it to your home screen. It syncs with the iPhone app, so you can share goals with buddies on iPhone too.

Does it use AI?

No. Hexel reads your sentence with clear rules that run on your device. Voice is turned into text on your device as well.

Do I need an account?

No. Hexel works on your device without one. Create an account only if you want your days on more than one device, or to share goals with a buddy.

Is my data private?

What you write stays on your device unless you turn on sync. Synced data is private to your account. A buddy only sees the goals you choose, and never your words unless you turn them on. Read the privacy policy.

What do I get with Hexel Plus?

Ways to change how Hexel looks: five app looks, six app icons, three widget styles and two extra looks for your year story. Nothing you need to use Hexel is behind Plus, and your history is always free.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Settings → Account → Delete account removes your account and everything synced with it from our servers.
